The building is a simple snapping together of the different functional elements you find. The Totebots, for example, have heads that can be used to make music, Haybots can be refined for crafting. Winning these fights results in useful parts from the robots. You explore the world using your created vehicles and take on a variety of indigenous robots that attack you on sight.
You start at the site of a crashed spaceship, with just a few items and must hunt for supplies, fuel and food in order to survive. You collect materials that are used to design machines, vehicles and buildings. Scrap Mechanic is an open world-building game.
